Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island in the last year of junior high school. There are two of her younger siblings and an older brother. Her career began in entertainment when she was 9 years old, and began modeling. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she began studying Sanford Meisner's acting methods for about three years. Other actors to receive such instruction include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, as well as other people. Her first performance came in Beverly Hills 90210. This led to her relocating into Los Angeles. After securing the lead role for Johnny Mnemonic where she did most of the stunts on herself, she positioned her self as an actor who is physically fit. Through her agent who also represents Matt LeBlanc she scored a part as a guest on Friends.
